The school has a large airy, well-stocked and computerized library, it is well-housed with text books, reference books, books on fiction, G.K., Science. Encyclopedieas, Children's Britannica, Reader's Digest, etc. In addition to this it also has a regular supply of newspapers, magazines and journals in English, Hindi and Punjabi. The CBSE syllabus and sample papers of all subjects are available both for utilization of the students as well as the teachers.
COMPUTER-LAB
It's a fully functional, air-conditioned, multi-media lab, well-equipped, with twenty computers plus 1 server, CD drives, Speakers. Children have an access to the internet services. Syllabus is based on CBSE pattern, it also has a power back-up facility (in case of power failure).
THE SCHOOL GURUDWARA
The sancto-sanctrum – the school gurudwara is the pride of the institution, where obeisance to the almighty is taught, lessons in divinity, shabad kirtan and precious-values are inculcated in the students. These teachings find an echo in our Gurupurab celebrations when our students make and serve langar and regail the sangat with their hauntingly beautiful renditions and ardas.
PHYCICS, CHEMISTRY &BIO LAB
The school has big well-ventilated laboratories fully equipped with required gadgets, apparatus and related materials. Experiments are conducted by students of classes VI-XII under the able guidance of teachers. Proper discipline is maintained and safety measures are taken. Wearing of Lab-coats is compulsory for conducting experiments in Biology and Chemistry Laboratories. Every year the school keeps adding latest equipments to all three laboratories.
THE SCHOOL HOSTEL
The school hostel is situated in the lap of nature surrounded by lush green lawns and a lot of natural forestation. The girls and boys hostel comprises of separate, spacious, air-cooled dormitories, study-halls and common rooms. Indoor games like Table-Tennis, Carromboard, chess , etc.
are provided to the children. They also have a Volley-Ball and Badminton court and play other games like Football, Cricket, Basketball, etcChildren occasionally watch entertainment and educational programs on television. There is a provision of sick-room and the school physician visits the hostlers regularly. Both the hostels are managed by a matron and a warden respectively assisted by attendants. The school councilor occasionally visits for student counselling.
Healthy and nutritious food is provided to the children prepared in the hostel-mess under the most hygienic conditions. Hot and cold water facility is provided to the children according to the weather conditions.
SPORTS ACTIVITES
A sound programme of physical education helps the students develop a healthy body and lots of recreation. The school provides standard track for athletes, obstacle course for joining the NDA and ground\courts for all games such as Football, Hockey, Volleyball, Basketball, Cricket, Tennis, Badminton, Hand Ball, Kho-Kho, Table Tennis.
All students are required to take part in organized games and sports. These are supervised by well qualified Physical Training Instructors. Students are selected to play at State and National levels. Every year a large number of students receive scholarships for participation in sports. Inter-House competitions are held in all games and sports.
JUNIOR WING SEC-37-B CHANDIGARH.
The Junior Wing with a strength of 590 students shifted to a brand new majestic building in Oct 2001.In addition to a large carefully manicured garden the school boasts of spacious,airy rooms,multipurpose halls on every floor of the building.
The Junior School has classes from Pre-Nursery to VI.
Pre-Nursery has one section.Classes Nursery to III have two sections.Classes IV to VI have three sections.
The teaching faculty ,26 in number, is well experienced and is equipped with latest teaching methodologies and techniques.
The school has a well equipped Computer Lab with twelve computers and a multimedia projector.Educational projects are shown to the students to make learning more meaningful,interesting and assimilative.
