Guru Nanak Public School is a co-educational boarding and day school accepting students from class pre-nursery to XII and school’s enrolment is 1500 (approx.). The teacher student ratio is 1:22.
Time Table
The school organises its academic curriculum in a 6 day week. An annual calender related to breaks, holidays, annual events, house activities and other competitions is followed:-
Transport
The school provides bus facility on request to transport children on specified routes. The charges are for 11½ months in a year. Private contractor provides the buses for the transport. Bus fares are charged quarterly along with the school fee. Students who want to discontinue the school bus must give one month’s notice to that effect.

Parent Teacher Meet
The progress of the students is discussed at the parent-teacher meeting held on second Saturday of every month.
Hostel
Separate Hostel facilities are available for boys and girls. The boarders are under the care of a Warden and a Matron who function under the direct supervision of the Principal and the Registrar. Proper balanced diet is provided in the hostels.
All boarders play games in the evening and have duly supervised study-periods every day.
They are permitted to meet authorized guardians only on Sundays between 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Overnight stay on second Saturday of the month is permitted only with parents. In case a parent wishes to apply for wards leave, he must do so in advance. Leave to attend marriage of real brother or sister will be granted only if the invitation card is sent along with the application, a week in advance.
Admission
Applications appended with prospectus for advanced registration are received on the prescribed form commencing in January for the next academic year.
The Registration form is to be submitted along with Registration fees. The Registration fee is not refundable. It may also be noted that registration does not guarantee admission.
Admission are made mainly in the Pre Nursery & Nursery class every year only in March. The age limit for admission to Pre Nursery is 2 plus and Nursery is 3 plus. Admission to a higher class may be made in the event of a vacant seat.
Candidates whose names are registered will be required to appear in an admission test and interview which will be held in the month of March. Admission is on the basis of merit and the number of seats available and is subject to medical fitness.
Children who are mentally handicapped or bed wetters; or are subject to some disease or infirmity, which may in the opinion of the School Medical Officer render education at the school very difficult will not be allowed admission .
Admission of a child to the school will mean an unqualified acceptance by the parent/guardian of all school rules as in force or as amended from time to time.
On admission of a child to the school against a vacant seat in class 1 to XII or in K.G. class, a Transfer Certificate and Character Certificate from the school last attended will have to be furnished at the time of payment of admission fees. Students to the Pre Nursery and Nursery Class will have to produce an original Birth Certificate. Day Boarding facility for students of classes Nursery to VI is available in school till 5 p.m.
Payment of Fees
Rates of fees now in vogue are shown in appendix 'A'
Collection of fees will be for three months in advance.
All fees must be deposited by the 10th of the Ist month of the quarter, after which a late fee @ Rs. 5/- per day upto 20th and thereafter @Rs.10/- per duty upto the last day of the month will be charged. In case the fees are not received by the last day of the previous month, the name of the student will be struck off the rolls. Re-admission will be done only on a payment of Rs. 250/-. Parents desirous to pay fees for the whole year may do so.
School Uniforms
On weekdays and at school functions the children are expected to wear the uniform prescribed for the season. Students who do not wear complete uniform will be fined @Rs. 25/- per day for non-observance of the School Uniform code.
